Eliza GPT Challenge

The Eliza GPT Challenge invites you to showcase what’s possible with Custom GPTs. We’re looking for high-impact, well-designed use cases that automate real work, connect intelligently across systems, and demonstrate what great GPT craftsmanship looks like. The creator of the best GPT will receive a $5,000 prize.

What “building a GPT” means

For this challenge, we’re focusing on Custom GPTs built using OpenAI’s GPT builder. These can include:

• Instruction-tuned GPTs with unique personalities or workflows
• GPTs that upload custom knowledge (e.g., docs, policies, playbooks)
• GPTs that use Actions to connect to APIs, internal tools, or services
• Hybrid setups where the GPT triggers external automation (e.g., via Zapier, Make.com, or your own API) and brings results back into the chat

You don’t need to write a single line of code to enter. Low-code and no-code tools make it easy to build smart workflow automations. What matters is that your GPT is practical, well-designed, and delivers real value.

How it works

1. Build a Custom GPT that solves a real problem through smart automation
2. Record a ≤ 5-minute demo video walking us through the use case, workflow, and measurable impact
3. Submit your entry at the bottom of this page

Judging criteria

Submissions will be evaluated by a panel of industry experts based on:

• Creativity & originality - 30%
• Usefulness & impact - 30%
• Automation depth & time savings - 40%
