Who is Eliza?
We take our name from the very first chatbot ever created, Joseph Weizenbaum’s 1960s natural language program that opened the world’s eyes to machine conversation. What began as a pioneering experiment has become a symbol of curiosity, intelligence, and the human drive to understand machines.
At Eliza, we embrace that heritage and carry it forward, evolving the name into a living presence, our company’s collective intelligence, personality, and guiding voice.
